La vita è bella! – Parte II

Writing the title to this post totally makes me feel like being somewhere in Italy or the south of France.

Right now, it’s not as warm as in the south of France, but I’m very positive that today was the first day of spring!
I got up pretty early this morning to clean my apartment and meet my landlady, and as I opened the windows, I actually heard the birds sing! Like, real birds, not crows and shit-hawks. OK, one sentence back: Yes, I did get up early today! On a Saturday! I know, something must be terribly wrong… Maybe I should go see a doctor… 😉
Same thing tomorrow, by the way: Getting up early! Since I have to go back to school on Monday, I need to get used to getting up early and not walking around in my pajamas all day long. My school’s late policy basically is like zero, so no more sleeping in… 😦 Kinda sucks if you’re a night owl like me and all the good work only gets done at night.

I’ve been enjoying life all week long last week. After being sick, I just needed to get out. So we went to the mall. 🙂 I’m all getting ready for summer by buying shorts and tank tops and – tadaaaah – an affordable bikini (not the easiest purchase in the world if you’re walking around with such a weird body like me)! But that’s a minor matter. What I actually wanted to mention was that I went to the pet shop. All alarm  and DANGER signs up, please… =) Usually, I just have a look at the cute little puppys and kitten that are sitting in the showcase. Last week, I finally went inside the store. I must say, I am very thankful that my landlady does not allow any pets in the apartment I’m renting! I totally fell in love with that little Cocker Spaniel!!! At least it said “Cocker Spaniel” in the descripitions, although it looked more like a Cavalier to me… Me in a pet store is always like “aaaaaawwwww, I so want one!!!!”. Must be terrifying for those who are with me. 🙂 Anyways, I’ll be moving back to my parent’s house in July, if anybody wants to get my a cute little fluffy dog. I prefer Poodles, Spaniels (especially the Cavalier King Charles, absolutely adorable!) and everything similarly cute and medium sized. I mean, don’t you just want to love this little guy?

As I mentioned earlier, it’s spring. At least it feels like spring. So this afternoon, I went for a walk along the sea as usual on nice days when I’m off from school or work. And – believe it or not – I saw some guy swimming in the ocean!!! I mean, I heard of people who actually do this every single day of the year. But, really? I’m sure the water temperature is not really higher than the air temperature, which currently lies in the range of 6°C to 10°C. Definitely not higher! Even if you get all sweaty by the exercise, at one point one has to leave the water! I’m getting chilly just by typing this, seriously! I might make myself a cup of tea, actually… Hmm, love tea! 🙂

As I was cleaning my apartment this morning, I also got my den ready for school again. I love going back to school after some time off! I’m always getting über-excited. It also is a reason to buy new notebooks and pens, my secret passion. Isn’t it the most awesome feeling to start new, whatever you’re doing? You get to know some new people, you receive new textbooks and everything is all new and nice and shiny. I know, after a week or two you already hate it… I’m already seeing myself sitting at my desk in the middle of the night, trying to write some sort of proposal or article and asking myself “why for heaven’s sake am I doing this?!!?” Realizing that there’s still seven more weeks to go until the final exams – what???? only seven weeks till the finals??? *panic* 😀

And with this little glimpse into my near future, I’m saying “read you soon, world”!
Gonna sit on my couch for a while now and have a look at what other writers created. Recommendation for the weekend: If you haven’t started yet, read the “A Song of Ice and Fire”-series (also known as “A Game of Thrones”) by George R.R. Martin! As a fantasy-lover I have to say this is genius and I’m very much enjoying the series, even though it’s quite a long (but quick) read. That just didn’t make any sense, but I’m sure you know what I mean. 😉

Happy Weekend y’all!
